Preserve Our Painting

William Everitte Pedrick, a Trenton portrait painter, caricaturist, and publisher, was fascinated by American history. Before he died in 1927 at the age of 59 in a traffic accident, he completed a number of paintings of historic scenes set in the colonial and Revolutionary era Trenton area, some of which are now hanging at the Old Barracks and the Trenton Free Public Library.
The Trent House Association's painting. “Mahlon Stacy Jr. Signing the Deed Conveying Property to William Trent,” shown here in its current condition, is critically in need of repair, with rips in the canvas and a damaged frame. Professional restorers have assured us that restoration is possible, but funding is needed. Please consider donating to the Preserve Our Painting fund. Donors will be invited to a special reception unveiling the restored painting.
