Directions

The William Trent House is located on the corner of William Trent Place and Market Street, across from the Hughes Justice Complex, in Trenton, New Jersey.

South from the New Jersey Turnpike:
Follow the NJ Turnpike to exit 7A at Rt. 195. Follow signs to Trenton and Route 29. Head west on 195 until it intersects with Route 29. Follow Route 29 North towards Lambertville. Proceed to the Market Street exit. Exit ramp merges with Market Street. Turn right onto William Trent Place at the light. Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot at the rear of the museum grounds.

From U.S. Route 1 South:
Follow U.S. Route 1 South to the Warren Street exit (marked last exit before toll) At the light go straight through the parking lot. At the stop sign the Trent House will be straight ahead. Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot at the rear of the museum grounds.

North from the New Jersey Turnpike:
Take the Turnpike North to Exit 7A. Follow exit toward Trenton via 195. Follow signs for Route 29 North towards Lambertville. Proceed to the Market Street exit. Exit ramp merges with Market Street. Turn right onto William Trent Place at the light. Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot at the rear of the museum grounds.

North from 295:
Take 295 North to exit 60, Trenton, Route 29/129. Follow signs for Route 29 North towards Lambertville. Follow Route 29 to Market Street exit. Exit ramp merges with Market Street. Turn right onto William Trent Place at the light. Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot at the rear of the museum grounds.

From Philadelphia:
Take 95 North to Route 1 North. Bear right towards Trenton. Take the Route 1 Bridge across the Delaware River into New Jersey – follow the directions from U.S. Route 1 North.

From U.S. Route 1 North:
Follow U.S. Route 1 North to the Route 29/Lamberville exit, which is the first exit in New Jersey after you cross the Delaware River. Go straight through the yield and then bear right at the traffic signal, onto Route 29 North. Take the Market Street exit. Make the first right onto William Trent Place. Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot at the rear of the museum grounds.

From Route 29 North or South:
Follow Route 29 to Market Street exit. Exit ramp merges with Market Street. Turn right onto William Trent Place at the light. Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot at the rear of the museum grounds.

East:
Take the Garden State Parkway to 195 west towards Trenton. Follow the signs for Route 29 North towards Lambertville. Follow Route 29 to Market Street exit. Exit ramp merges with Market Street. Turn right onto William Trent Place at the light. Parking is available on the street and in the parking lot at the rear of the museum grounds.

The William Trent House Museum is a National Historic Landmark in the Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area and on the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail. The Museum is dedicated to sharing the authentic history of the house, property, and people with our communities, connecting the past with today and tomorrow. Owned by the City of Trenton, it is operated by the Trent House Association, which is supported by the generosity of its donors; by grants from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, the New Jersey Cultural Trust, the New Jersey Historic Trust, the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission with funding from the New Jersey Historical Commission, and the Bunbury Fund and the NJ Arts & Culture Renewal Fund of the Princeton Area Community Foundation; and by gifts from NJM Insurance Group and Orion General Contractors.
